BreakCycle browser extension  ·  Last updated: May 30, 2026

Short version: BreakCycle runs entirely on your own device. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the BreakCycle browser extension ("BreakCycle", "we", "us"), published by MURF. It explains what data the extension does and does not handle.

What we collect

Nothing. BreakCycle does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal information about you. We have no servers that receive your data, because the extension never sends any.

Data stored on your device

For BreakCycle to work, it needs to remember your settings — such as the list of sites you've chosen to block and your preferences. This information is saved using your browser's built-in local storage, which keeps it on your own computer.

Browser permissions

Browsers require extensions to request permission for the things they do. BreakCycle requests only the permissions it needs to block sites on your behalf, and uses them solely for that purpose.

No analytics or tracking

BreakCycle does not use analytics services, advertising networks, cookies, or any third-party tracking. It does not build a profile of you or your browsing.

Children's privacy

BreakCycle is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes to this policy

If BreakCycle ever changes in a way that affects this policy — for example, if a future feature involves syncing data — we will update this page and revise the date above before that feature ships.
